Principal’s Blog: Blessing Bags Service Project

As we advance another week closer to National Catholic Schools Week, I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of our families for the continued support of our teachers, our school and our community.  While there are many fun-filled, exciting events planned throughout the week, it is our hope that our children and families are not only able to celebrate and feel appreciated but also that they are able to share in the experience of giving back and spreading joy to others. Experiences such as this are paramount to our goal of educating the “whole child” and in our own “little way” we hope to brighten the day of so many worthy members of our larger community.

This year, our school service project is centered around creating “blessing bags” for various organizations in our community. The students themselves will be assembling these bags with their family groups during Catholic Schools Week. To make these bags possible, a list of donations has been created. If you are able, please use this link to sign up and make a donation. Recipients will include:

  • Sister Mary’s convent
  • Green Bay Diocese Seminarians
  • Howard First Responders – Firefighters, EMTs, Police
  • Nursing Homes – Cardinal Ridge & Tender Hearts
  • St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter
  • HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital
  • Wisconsin Humane Society of Green Bay
Please enjoy the week and don’t forget to register for the 2020-2021 school year! Additional information regarding enrollment will be shared next week.
