This Friday, the staff of Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) school system will spend the day praying, learning and working together on strategies that will help our students pray, learn and work together even better. The morning will begin at Nativity parish where the staff will pray and learn through a “teaching Mass.” At a teaching Mass, the priest prays the Mass, pausing throughout to help staff grow in knowledge and understanding of the beautiful details of the Mass. Then, Peter Weiss, the Living Justice Program Director for the Diocese of Green Bay, will give a presentation on how diversity is changing in our GRACE schools. His talk, “Open Wide Your Hearts,” will highlight the great gift diversity is for our community.
In the afternoon, teachers will gather in academic teams to discuss and develop curriculum for the entire system. This level of collaboration helps strengthen the individual teachers while elevating the effectiveness of our academic program.
